Although only 5 modelers showed up, they brought over 35 models, so combined with all of mine, we had over 50 models on display! We had  our own show, especially with the in progress projects.  GREAT "show and tell" opportunity.  Checking out my hobby room and projects, trading ideas and tips, great food, my Corvette library, videos, pictures....  We had a BLAST

Here are some pics:

From left to right: Ruben Tirado, me (at the controls), Alex, Wilmer and Simon. Missing from the picture: Hamilton who arrived after this pic was taken.

The trophies:

This is the in progress trophy

Tuner Trophy

Closed wheel racing trophy

In progress projects:

To say Wilmer is a talented scratchbuilder is like saying the ocean is wet :)  Most of these projects are totally scratchbuilt or heavily modified projects. I mean, he can make a school bus out of a motorcycle

Can Am fan car

Porsche 910

Intrepid IMSA racer

Corvette GTP. This is NOT the Quick Skins resin model. This is his own to represent the prototype car

This started as a slot car with a different shape

I kneeled and yelled "I'm not worthy"  He is scratchbuilding the body of the Corvette Sting Ray racer.

Hamilton brought his 426 Max Wedge Plymouth he's been working on forever. GET IT DONE BOY!

Ruben brought this tuner Focus and the EVO. Both should be finished soon.

Small scale master Simon brought his 1/43 Rothman 962 that should be ready for GSL.  That dime is 1:1 LOL

Finished models displayed:

Can you tell Wilmer is into racing?

Alex's models:

This Escort was the talk of the day.

Ruben's models:

Simon's cars:

There's that darn dime again! That baby is 1/43 and has taken all the awards you can think of.

As I said, we had a blast. Definitely worth repeating.
